Maintaining Generation Variants
Purpose
Substance report generation variant links report templates to a leading validity area and to one or more substance characteristic ratings (see:
Usage).A report can also contain sections for which you have defined discrete validity areas and a language (for instance, multi-language hazard labels). You allocate discrete validity areas and the relevant languages in the substance report generation variant.

If you want to define specific areas on a report in particular languages, you must enter further discrete validity areas together with the respective language. You use repetition groups of type G to define the access to discrete validity-language combinations on the report template.
