QM/PM/CS: Action Box for Notifications 

Description

When you create or process a notification, you can use the functions of the "Action Box" as of Release 4.5A. The action box contains follow-up or supplementary functions, which have been defined in Customizing for each notification type and which you can execute by selecting a corresponding pushbutton. After the follow-up function has been successfully executed, the system documents the function in the notification header as a task or activity.

Follow-up functions differ from task-related follow-up actions as follows:

• The system executes the follow-up function immediately after the function has been selected (not after the notification has been saved).

• After the follow-up function has successfully been executed, the system creates a task or activity in the notification.

• You can use a follow-up function to trigger a workflow task.

Installation information

The R/3 System includes standard follow-up functions. To activate these functions in case of a release upgrade, you must make sure the following Customizing settings and basic data in your system match the settings in client 000:

• Customizing settings

• Follow-up functions

• Follow-up actions

• Basic data

• Catalog for tasks (catalog 2)

• Catalog for activities (catalog 9)
