In the area of quality management, many companies are increasingly performing vendor audits. The tendency is to reduce the inspection requirements, possibly to the point of inspection skips.
Defects that are caused by vendors are often first discovered during production. For this reason, it would be advantageous to copy the defects confirmed in an internal notification into a new notification (complaint against vendor) for further processing.
As of Release 4.5A, you can create a new notification while you are processing an existing notification. In a dialog, you can specify the notification type for the new notification to be created. In addition to selected notification header data, you can also specify which notification items are to be copied into the new notification.
The system creates the new notification in the background using the SAP Business Workflow. If an error occurs, it is documented in the log for the work item.
