Background documentationPOD Maintenance

You use this activity to set up production operator dashboards (PODs) of the following types:

  • Operation

This POD enables work at a specific operation and resource while allowing the user to manage the POD Work List, configured to display Active SFC numbers.

  • Work Center

This POD enables work for a certain work center and allows the user to select SFC numbers using the POD Work List plug-in and subsequently select operations using the Operation List or Shop Workbench plug-ins (see POD Work List, Shop Workbench, and Operation List).

  • Message Board

This POD contains the Message Board plug-in (see Message Board POD).

For more information, see Production Operator Dashboard (POD), Setting Up Operation PODs, Setting Up Work Center PODs, and Setting Up Message Board PODs.

Note Note

If you need to set up Mobile PODs, see Mobile Maintenance and Setting Up Mobile PODs.

End of the note.
Prerequisites

You have defined lists for PODs in List Maintenance (see List Maintenance).

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

Rule

Setting

ACTIVITY_SEQ_INCREMENT

Controls the starting sequence and the increment value for the activity sequence.

The default value is 010.

Note Note

Accepted format – sequence string, comma separator and increment value. (For example 010,10 means the first step ID will be 010, the next step ID will be 020.) Increment and value must be the positive integers.

If the setting is blank (empty), use existing system-generated defaults for step ID.

End of the note.

BUTTON_SEQ_INCREMENT

Controls the starting sequence and the increment value for the button sequence.
