Personalizing Chart Layouts
A chart layout contains the information for the structure and design of the various graphs. It determines which graphs are displayed and how they are arranged. The Chart Layout selection field in the function bar contains all the chart layouts that are available to you, the user. As standard the Smart Chart displays the chart layouts stored in Customizing. You can distinguish the following layout types:

You can continue using chart layouts that you previously defined and used in i.s.h.med charting.
NoteNote that the system only displays nursing graphs in the ward documentation work station.
End of the note.As user, you can select a chart layout from a list of predefined layouts made available to you by system administration. You can switch the chart layout at any time.
NoteIf you wish only to view a vital sign in a group graph for line graphs, you do not need to change or switch the chart layout. If you hold the mouse pointer over the legend of the y-axis for a specific vital sign, the display is filtered and only this vital sign and its reference ranges are shown. The other vital signs are hidden.

You can delete a user-specific chart layout.
To do this, in the Chart Layout selection field of the function toolbar, choose the adjacent trash icon
(Delete Chart Layout
).You can define personal standard chart layouts:
You can define a user-specific standard chart layout.
As user, you can define any other layout as your personal standard chart layout by setting the
Select as Standard Chart Layout
indicator next to the layout name. If a user-specific standard chart layout is defined, the settings for standard chart layouts from Customizing or from the UIBB configuration no longer apply. Instead, the first time a patient is called, Smart Chart always uses the user-specific standard chart layout for all patients, if you have flagged a layout as such.You can also define your user-specific standard layout for each User Interface Building Block (UIBB).
If a chart layout is defined in the UIBB configuration for Smart Chart used by the system, the settings for standard chart layouts from Customizing no longer apply. In such cases, the system uses the defined layout as user-specific standard chart layout for the UIBB.
You can change the graph display of the currently opened chart layout. Some adaptation options depend on the graph type concerned. You can find further information under Adapting the Graph Display for all Graph Types.
NoteNote that the system automatically remembers or memorizes some changes to the chart layout. You can find further information of automatic memorization of user-specific changes under Automatic Memorization of Layout Changes.
