Function documentationTeam Entry

A number of employees may be involved in service entry. These employees perform tasks connected with the performance of the service. You enter these employees in the Team Entry function.

The team entry function is available for the services of a service facility and services of an operating facility. Using the Team Entry function you can also enter a preliminary team (team planning).

When entering a preliminary team the user cannot enter certain properties, such as the start and end time, in the task – employee assignment.

Note Note

Team planning is only preliminary and does not count as actual planning, as the clinical system (i.s.h.med) works with single resource planning. There are currently no personnel resources for surgeries, as the Surgery component plans surgery appointments based on organizational units and rooms.

End of the note.

You can check whether a person is assigned to different teams that are entered concurrently for different surgeries (overlap). The system includes both planned surgeries and started surgeries in this check. It does not include teams for completed surgeries and completed secondary surgeries. Note that the system checks the team members irrespective of their tasks. You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) ISHMED_CREATE_TEAM_COLL to implement customer-specific checks for surgery team member overlaps.

See Customer-Specific Enhancements for Surgery System

Note Note

This function is available to you if you have activated the business function Clinical System Situation-Based Clinical Documentation (ISHMED_SCD).

End of the note.

You can enter a team for every service regardless of the service status.

The system manages the team status for team entry using the following criteria:

  • In the outpatient clinic/service facility depending on the service status

    • Service status UA, BA, DI: team status PLANNED

    • Service status ER, QU, ST, AL: team status ACTUAL

  • In the surgery area depending on Surgery Started:

    • Surgery not started: team status PLANNED

    • Surgery Started: team status ACTUAL

Team entry for a service includes the assignment of employees to tasks.

Example Example

Assignment of a surgery team to a surgery service. A surgery team often consists of 5 to 10 employees. The operating surgeon several assistants, the anesthetist and an instrument nurse are assigned.

End of the example.

In team entry, the system will propose the tasks (task proposal), which are assigned as task proposals in the service master data of the service. The employees involved must then be assigned to these tasks. You can select all employees which come into consideration for this task. You can change or enhance these assignments in any way.

Note Note

You can not only assign the task or the employee in the task/employee assignment area, but also manually enter them.

You can also assign a task to several persons or several tasks to one person.

You should note that you can suppress the display of a warning message when assigning several persons to one task, in message control in the NMED function, work area N1BASE_MED, message number 022.

End of the note.
