Team Entry for Individual Selection of Services
If you select a service and call team entry, you will access the team entry individual selection. In the task/employee assignment the team entry displays existing task/employee assignments, as well as the task proposal for the selected service (service/employee assignment).
In the header row, the system displays the service and the patient information.
The employee selection is restricted to those persons who are available for the operating organizational unit (OU) due to OU involvement, as well as the employees of the operating OU itself.
Team entry for individual selection of services is available in the following functions of the clinical system (i.s.h.med):
Clinical Order
Request
Planning Grid
Surgery Planning List
OR Schedule
Surgery Monitor
Surgery Work Station
Service Entry
Surgeries
view type
Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility
view type
Appointment Planning
view type
Medication Events/Inpatient Nursing Services
view type
In the corresponding function you select a service and call the team entry function. You select, for example,
Team
(-
) (in the clinical work station) or the menu option (in the planning grid).
Note
The team entry function is only available in the planning grid if the appointment is connected to a service.
If you select several appointments (see Collective Processing in Planning Grid) the system will only offer team entry for the selected appointments which are connected to a service. You can use a selection list to toggle between the teams of the selection appointments. If necessary, the system will display information concerning which selected appointments are not connected with services.
If you call the planning grid from the clinical order, you can only change the team for the appointments which are not connected to a clinical order. Appointment data which belongs to a clinical order may only be saved together with the clinical order. Therefore, the system only displays teams for appointments which belong to clinical orders, however, you cannot change them.
You access the Enter Team
dialog box.
You select the desired task and the desired employee and then select
(Assign
) or drag the desired task and employee to the task/employee assignment using Drag & Drop.
You should note the following procedure when using Drag & Drop:
A task which you use Drag & Drop to drag from the task selection to the task/employee assignment, is always added to the end of the list. The task will also remain in the task selection.
If you drag an employee to a row of the task/employee assignment, the employee is entered in the corresponding row for the task.
If this task is already assigned to an employee, the system will display a warning or error message depending on system parameter N1MAOE
. If the system displays a warning message, you must decide whether the original employee should be overwritten or you wish to assign a second employee to this task.
If you drag an employee to a row of the task selection (e.g. operating surgeon task), the system will insert a new row in the task/employee assignment. The row contains the employee and the task from the task selection to which the employee was dragged.
You can use the pushbutton
(Restrict Employees for Task
) to restrict the employee selection so that it only contains employees who can perform the task due to OU involvement and qualification. The function is available in the task/employee assignment and in the task selection.
Further functions are also available in these two areas and in the employee selection.
You can use
(Check
) to determine, whether the new task/employee assignment causes an error or warning (e.g. that the task is already entered with a different employee).
You save the team entry.
You will return to the function (e.g. view on the clinical work station) from which you called the team entry function.
You have saved the team for the selected service.
