Team Entry Without Preselected Service
If you call the team entry function without preselecting a service, you will access an amodal window where you can compose any team taking into account the task-employee assignment. You can drag the composed team to an individual service or a room using Drag & Drop.
You can therefore use the team entry in an amodal window to plan a team for an entire day in a special room.
Example
Anesthetist Dr. Miller will work in surgery room 2 for the entire day. You wish to enter the Anesthetist Dr. Miller as a team member of every surgery which will be performed in surgery room 2.
When assigning the team to the service or all services which should be performed in this room on this day, the system will check whether the corresponding task (e.g. anesthetist) is already filled with another employee.
Note
In this case, the system will display a warning message depending on system parameter N1MAOE
, stating which employee is already assigned for which service for the task. You must decide whether this assignment should be overwritten or a second person should be assigned.
You can only call the team entry without a preselected service in the clinical work station in views of the Surgeries View Type.
When you call the team entry without a preselected service, the task/employee assignment is blank.
The entries in the employee-task assignment will remain in the amodal window until you close it.
In a view of the Surgeries view type, you select
(Determine Team
).
You access the Enter Team
dialog box.
You select the desired task and the desired employee and then select
(Assign
) or drag the desired task and employee to the task/employee assignment using Drag & Drop.
You should note the following procedure when using Drag & Drop:
A task which you use Drag & Drop to drag from the task selection to the task/employee assignment, is always added to the end of the list. The task will also remain in the task selection.
If you drag an employee to a row of the task/employee assignment, the employee is entered in the corresponding row for the task.
If this task is already assigned to an employee, the system will display a warning or error message depending on system parameter N1MAOE
. If the system displays a warning message, you must decide whether the original employee should be overwritten or you wish to assign a second employee to this task.
If you drag an employee to a row of the task selection (e.g. operating surgeon task), the system will insert a new row in the task/employee assignment. The row contains the employee and the task from the task selection to which the employee was dragged.
You can use the pushbutton
(Restrict Employees for Task
) to restrict the employee selection so that it only contains employees who can perform the task based on their qualifications. The function is available in the task/employee assignment and in the task selection.
Note
As no OU is known when the team entry function is called without a preselected service (amodal window), the system will display the employees of all possible performing OUs, who can execute the task.
Further functions are also available in these two areas and in the employee selection.
When you have entered the desired team in the task/employee assignment, you drag the entire team or only parts of the task/employee assignment, using Drag & Drop, to the view of the Surgeries
view type.
You can
drag the team to an individual surgery (service)
The system assigns the team to the surgery. Following the assignment the system updates the view. The team planning window does not change, the rows from the task/employee assignment which were dragged to the view are still available for further use.
drag the team to a room
The system will assign this team to all surgeries (services) which are planned in this room on the corresponding day. This assignment does not, however, apply to surgeries which you plan in this room after team assignment, i.e. not in advance.
