As the system administrator you must enter the basic data and settings necessary for the Medication module in the system.

Basic Data and Settings in Implementation Guide

You can, for example, enter the required medication basic data in the following configuration functions in the Implementation Guideunder Start of the navigation path Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Next navigation step Medication End of the navigation path.

  • Set up number ranges for medication

  • Drug catalog:

    • Maintain drug catalogs

    • Import external drug catalog

    • Create ID of drug for institution (time-dependent)

    • Edit drug categories

    • Edit drug types

    • Edit administration routes

    • Edit administration devices

    • Edit dosage form

    • Manage classification systems

    • Manage classification codes

    • Manage reason codes

    • Maintain (institution-independent) reason codes

    • Manage price types for drugs
