System administration can influence the functionality of Medication by using these settings related to the organizational unit (OU).

You use the following organizational unit-related parameters to make settings for Medication.

You define the corresponding OU parameters in the SAP Easy Access screen under Start of the navigation path Clinical System Next navigation step Basic Clinical Data Next navigation step Service Management Next navigation step Organizational Unit Next navigation step Maintain OU-Related Settings End of the navigation path.

Structure

N1ME_APREP

You can use this parameter to determine whether a preparation of mixed drugs and drugs to be prepared should be made explicitly by the user or automatically in the background based on the predefined recipe.

If you set this parameter to ‘X’, the system will create a corresponding preparation for drugs which require a preparation, at the latest when you access the administration dialog, if you have not yet manually created one.

N1ME_DEFDU

You use this parameter to control which issue quantity unit should be preset by the system when creating a new medication order.

The system will check this parameter for the ordering nursing organizational unit.

N1ME_DTIM

You use this parameter to control which start time the system should preset when creating a new medication order.

The system will check this parameter for the ordering nursing organizational unit.

N1ME_ORDP

You can use this parameter to preset the order duration or the end date and the end time of the medication order.

The system will check the parameter for the ordering nursing organizational unit.

N1ADTIMU

You use this parameter to determine the time unit (hours or minutes) for the flow rate duration of a medication order (infusion or nutritional solution).

The system will check the parameter value for the ordering nursing OU.
