Procedure documentationCreating Blocks

A nursing plan block describes a connected problem or a nursing diagnosis with corresponding goals and procedures. The valid set defines the structure of the block in a nursing plan.

Note Note

In the selection help you can also transfer corresponding items, properties and connections.

See Creating an Item, Creating a Property and Navigation Area under the Create Connection function

End of the note.

You can create nursing plan blocks in the following ways:

  • You can insert a standard nursing plan. A standard nursing plan implicitly corresponds to the structure of a block, the system therefore creates exactly one block.

  • You can insert a standard nursing plan profile. A standard nursing plan profile can contain any number of blocks, the system therefore creates several blocks.

  • You can transfer a block from an existing individual nursing plan of the patient.

  • If the organizational unit-related parameter (OU-parameter) N1PFFRTXT is set, you can manually enter a block or a block group. This means you can name the block or block group using free text.

A standard nursing plan and a standard nursing plan profile may only be contained in a nursing plan once.

Procedure

To create blocks in a nursing plan, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose Create Block (Create Block).

The system opens a selection help in which the following tab pages are available:

    • Standard Nursing Plans tab page

The system displays all standard nursing plan profiles and standard nursing plans which have an assignment to the currently valid organizational unit (OU) of the nursing plan.

Note the following display behavior of the system:

      • The system displays standard nursing plans which are not used in any standard nursing plan profile under the Without Assignment node.

      • Standard nursing plan profiles and standard nursing plans which the system already displays as subnodes in another standard nursing plan profile, are not listed again as separate nodes at the topmost level.

If the OU parameter N1PFFRTXT is set, the system also displays the Create Free Text Block Group and Create Free Text Block nodes at the end of the selection help. Select one of the two nodes. In the subsequent dialog box enter the desired name for the block group or for the block and choose Continue. The system inserts a block group or a block within the selected node in the selection help and highlights this as selected.

    • Nursing Plans tab page

If other individual nursing plans exist for the patient within the current institution, the system will display this tab page.

  2. Select the desired entries in the selection help. Note the following peculiarities when selecting or deselecting:

    • If you select a standard nursing plan profile, the system will also select all subordinate standard nursing plans, items, properties and connections which have the Preselection indicator set in the standard nursing plan.

    • If you select a standard nursing plan, the system will also select all subordinate items, properties and connections which have the Preselection indicator set in the standard nursing plan.

    • If you select an item, the system will also select the superordinate standard nursing plan and also all subordinate properties and connections which have the Preselection indicator set in the standard nursing plan. The system also selects the item which belongs to the connection.

    • If you select a property the system will also select the superordinate item and the superordinate standard nursing plan.

    • If you select a connection the system will also select the superordinate item and the superordinate standard nursing plan. The system also selects the item which belongs to the connection.

    • If you deselect a standard nursing plan profile, the system will also deselect all subordinate standard nursing plans, items, properties and connections.

    • If you deselect a standard nursing plan, the system will also deselect all subordinate items, properties and connections.

    • If you deselect an item, the system will also deselect all subordinate properties and connections. If you deselect the last selected item of the node, the system will also deselect the superordinate standard nursing plan. Note that the system will not deselect the item which belongs to the connection.

    • If you deselect the last selected property of the item, the system will also deselect the superordinate item. If this item is also the last selected item of the node, the system will also deselect the superordinate standard nursing plan.

    • If you deselect the last selected connection of the item, the system will also deselect the superordinate item. If this item is also the last selected item of the node, the system will also deselect the superordinate standard nursing plan. Note that the system will not deselect the item which belongs to the connection.

  3. Choose between the following variants for transferring the selected entries:

    • Choose Transfer and Close + Close (Transfer and Close) to transfer the selected block into the nursing plan and close the selection help.

    • Choose Transfer (Transfer) to transfer the selected block into the nursing plan without closing the selection help.

The system attempts to insert all entries selected in the selection help into the nursing plan as follows:

    • If you have not selected an entry in the nursing plan, the system will insert the entries chosen in the selection help at the end of the nursing plan.

      Caution Caution

      Note the following exception:

In the nursing plan you select no entries and, in the selection help select a standard nursing plan with the superordinate standard nursing plan profile. If this standard nursing plan profile already exists in the nursing plan, the system inserts only the standard nursing plan chosen in the selection help at the end of the standard nursing plan profile which exists in the nursing plan.

      End of the caution.
    • If you select an entry in the nursing plan, the system will insert the entries chosen in the selection help before the entry chosen in the nursing plan.

      Note Note

If you select an item, property or connection in the nursing plan, the system evaluates this as the selection of the superordinate block.

      End of the note.

      Note Note

      Note the following exception:

If you have selected a block within a block group in the nursing plan and select a standard nursing plan profile in the selection help, the system will insert this after the superordinate block group of the selected block in the nursing plan.

      End of the note.

The system will display an error message for any entries which it cannot insert.
