Object documentationOU-Related Parameters for Nursing Process Documentation

Using the settings related to the organizational unit (OU-related) the system administrator can influence the functionality of nursing support.

See Settings Related to Organizational Units.

You use the following OU-related parameters to make settings for nursing process documentation.

You define the corresponding OU-related parameters using the transaction N1SQ in the SAP Easy Access menu under Start of the navigation path Clinical System Next navigation step Basic Clinical Data Next navigation step Service Management Next navigation step Organizational Unit Next navigation step Maintain OU-Related Settings End of the navigation path.

Structure

N1ARERDT

This parameter defines the proposed service time when nursing services are performed or released.

  • L: Planned time

  • S: System time

    Note Note

This parameter should contain the value L for all care units (OUs) which work with nursing process documentation, so that the system proposes the planned service time as the time for performing or releasing.

    End of the note.
N1PFKLPL

With this parameter you can control whether the system should automatically make NSR classifications and output a screen log when saving or copying a nursing service.

  • Space: No PPR classification (standard value)

  • X: Automatic NSR classification without log

  • P: Automatic NSR classification without log

As standard the system will not make a classification.

Note Note

The system will check the parameter value for the OU, for which the user is calling or creating the nursing plan .

End of the note.
N1PFLNE

You determine whether the nursing services which were entered in the subsequent service entry function, should receive the status performed or released (standard setting).

N2PPRANZ

You define for a care unit (OU) how many days – from the system date – an NSR classification can be retroactively corrected.

Only relevant for the Nursing Complex Procedure Score (NCPS - PKMS) in Germany: In addition, the system uses this parameter – with the classification date – to calculate the classification start of the Nursing Complex Procedure Score.

N1PFFRTXT

You define whether the user can enter free text for problems, resources, and goals in the nursing plan.

  • Space: The user cannot enter free text in the nursing plan. (standard value)

  • X: The user can enter free text in the nursing plan.

If the user has entered free texts and the parameter is then deactivated or the period of validity expires, the system will only display the free texts. They can no longer be changed.

N1PMN

With this parameter you control when you start with the nursing process documentation at a specific organizational unit and when you have made the switchover for the entire institution.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the nursing OU of the patient.

End of the note.
  • Space: The Nursing Process Documentation component is not available. (standard value)

  • A: The Nursing Process Documentation component is active for a specific OU. You can only create nursing plans for this component.

  • P: The Nursing Process Documentation component is active for the entire institution and the Nursing component is therefore generally deactivated.

    Caution Caution

Note that the system does not take this parameter value into account if you only set it for individual OUs. In such cases, the system interprets this parameter value as if the parameter value A was set for this OU.

    End of the caution.
N1CANPAU

You can use this parameter to preset the cancellation reason for nursing services when suspending a procedure in the nursing plan.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.
N1CANNPE

You can use this parameter to preset a cancellation reason for nursing plan entries.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.
N1ENDNPE

You can use this parameter to preset a termination reason for nursing plan entries.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.
N1ENDNRSP

With this parameter you can preset a termination reason for nursing plan entries which the system automatically terminates when the nursing plan is ended.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.
N1NPUAUTO

With this parameter you control whether the system should automatically update the nursing plan without user intervention when it is saved and exited.

  • Space: The system does not update the nursing plan upon exiting. (standard value)

  • X: The system updates the nursing plan upon exiting without user interaction.

    Caution Caution

Note that you must also set the OU parameter N1NPUNOD, in order to be able to use this functionality.

    End of the caution.

    Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

    End of the note.
N1NPUNOD

With this parameter you control how long the system should update the nursing plan for. This parameter is used when the system updates without user interaction as well as for manual updating.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

If you do not set the parameter or enter no value, the system will use the standard value 1.

End of the note.
N1NRSNOTE

The user can enter notes on nursing plan entries and nursing services in the nursing plan and in nursing service entry. You use this parameter to determine the application with which the user wishes to enter these notes.

Note Note

You can only assign this parameter for the organizational unit (OU) "*", i.e. for the entire institution.

End of the note.
  • N or Space: Der Benutzer verwendet die pflegerische Verlaufsnotiz. (Standardwert)

  • O: The user uses the parameterized document N4PVB, the nursing report.

N1SRVBEG

With this parameter you control as of when the system generates nursing services for a created new procedure.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.
  • Space: The system generates services as of 00:00 on the cycle start date. (standard value)

  • X: The system generates services as of the system date/time.

N1SRVWARN

You can use this parameter to control whether individual services may be created for a suspended or terminated procedure.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU for which the user is creating nursing services.

End of the note.
  • Space: The system issues a warning. (standard value)

  • 1: The system does not check whether there is a terminated or suspended procedure for the service.

  • 2: The system issues an error message.

N1NPEWARN

You can use this parameter to control how the system is to react when the user wishes to create a nursing plan entry in the nursing plan and this entry already exists.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.
  • Space: The system issues a warning. (standard value)

  • 1: The system does not check whether the same nursing plan entry already exists.

  • 2: The system issues an error message.

N1NRSPSS

With this parameter you control which transformation the system should use when printing the nursing plan.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU that you are using in the nursing plan.

End of the note.

Note Note

Note that the parameter values must begin with Z.

End of the note.
N1NSRVSS

With this parameter you control which transformation the system should use when printing the list of nursing services.

Note Note

The system checks the parameter value for the patient’s nursing OU for which the user is creating nursing services. If the user creates nursing services for several OUs, the system will determine which of these OUs has the most recent movement assigned and checks the parameter for this OU.

End of the note.

Note Note

Note that the parameter values must begin with Z.

End of the note.
N1NRSQTM

With this parameter you determine the time period in which released services can still be edited.

Note Note

You can only maintain the parameter for the entire system. Restriction at organizational unit level is not possible.

End of the note.
