The inclusion or exclusion of the subscription data by the internal activation scheduler

Description and Use

This system parameter defines if the activation scheduler performs the Activation Process for both provider contracts and subscriptions in customer master data. This option is available in the SAP CC Core Server system to configure an obsolete function since the release 2.0 of SAP CC that provides you with a new modern data model based on charge plans and provider contracts. By default, the activation scheduler does not handle the subscriptions stored in SAP Convergent Charging.

Recommendation

If your implementation and Customizing is not based on subscriptions and the former data model, you can set up this parameter to false to optimize the performance.

Determining the Relevant Parameter Value

You enable this function if the modeling results recommend that you implement the configuration of subscriptions in master data and the enablement of the internal activation scheduler to udpate this data. During the planning step of the Project Implementation Phase, the modeling consists in mapping of your business requirements in SAP CC concepts and capabilities.

false: only provider contracts are activated

Use the Admin+ user interface to change the runtime values or the permanent values of this system parameter in an instance of the SAP CC Core Server system or in multiple instances.

The predefined default value is:

You can use a default value to reset the runtime value or the restart value (persistent) in the Admin+ user interface.

Note

A default value is part of the factory settings of the SAP CC Core Server systems. It differs from the original value set during the installation or after the Customizing activities.

In Admin+, you can reset a parameter value to this default value, but it is not recommended:

This value may differ from the original value set during the installation of your SAP CC system.
Note that it may also differ from the value defined by the implementation project team and set during the Implementation Phase of the integration project.
