Overview
Use this complete reference when implementing, installing, administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operating with SAP Convergent Charging. It describes all the indicators and all the parameters of the SAP CC Core Server systems in your system landscapes. For the other SAP CC systems, refer to the SAP CC Configuration Guide documentation.
Configuration Settings
This SAP product documentation is a complete reference to set up the business and the technical features of the SAP CC Core Server system. This server system is the main component of SAP Convergent Charging.
You can set up all the parameters relating to:
- Business processing level (charging, master data management)
- Technical and system processing level (communications, users, audit and metrics, logs and traces)
- Security

The SAP CC system provides you with a set of indicators to retrieve information about:- Installation
- Statistics
- Last trigger date of scheduled functions
Note
The system parameters created with the SAP CC Setup Tool user interface are not detailed in this document. For more information, refer to the SAP CC Configuration Guide documentation.
Group(s) Overview
All the indicators and parameters of the SAP CC Core Server system are listed in this document. They are grouped into several sets listed above.

| Oracle Database Management Settings | This group includes all the system parameters concerning the Oracle back-end database management. |
| Output Data | This group includes all the parameters concerning the Charged item file processors. |
| Output Data (Billable Item Processing) | This group includes all the parameters concerning the transmission of billable items to SAP ERP. |
| Output Data (Data File Processing) | This group includes all the system parameters concerning the management of data files generated by the Data File Processor. Consult the SAP CC Library (Application Help) for details. |
| Output Data (Transaction File Processing) | This group includes all the system parameters concerning the files generated by the Transaction File Processor: Size, Frequency, Pathname. Consult the SAP CC Library (Application Help) for details. |

| Scheduling | This group includes all the system parameters used to configure the schedulers that manage different business processes (activation, alerts) and technical processes (cleanup, SLD, metrics). |

| System: Audit and Metric Settings | This group includes all the system parameters concerning the audit function and the metrics recording function. |

| System: Log and Trace Settings | This group includes all the system parameters concerning the logging and the tracing functions. The trace messages can be added to the destinations of the log messages or to different destinations. |

| System: User Management | This group includes all the parameters linked to user sessions and advanced password management. It includes logon and password information for the SAP CC users used by the instances of the SAP CC Core Server system to connect to different systems (SLD, database). |
| System: Versions and Identifications | This group includes all the general system parameters and indicators. |
| System Information: Host and JVM Memory | This group includes all the system indicators and parameters concerning the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) memory for each instance running in the SAP CC system. |
| TIF (Transaction Integration Framework) | This group includes all the system parameters concerning the Transaction Integration Framework (TIF). |
| Tuning: Bulk Operation Management | This group includes all the parameters concerning the fine-tuning of the bulk operations. |
| Tuning: Data Cache | This group includes all the system parameters and indicators concerning the data cache settings in the instances of your SAP CC system. |
| Tuning: Multithreading and Concurrency | This group includes all the system parameters concerning concurrency optimization including the number of threads and the number of connections for SAP Convergent Charging services. |
| Tuning: Throughput and Latency | This group includes all the system parameters concerning throughput and latency optimization. |
Administration Utilities
The following user interfaces can be used to administer the SAP CC Core Server system in a development, a quality assurance, or a production SAP system landscape:- The Admin+ user interface can be used to set up a parameter with immediate change or delayed change (restart needed)
- The Config Tool user interface can be used to set up a complete or partial list of system parameters (restart needed)
- The Setup Tool user interface can be used to configure some particular technical functions (CIF, RIF, and notification policy) and business data (VAT rates, VAT rules, country tax policies, ...)
- The Core Tool graphical user interface can be used to maintain master data (pricing catalog, customer master data) and some business data customized during the implementation phase (currencies, public hollidays)

Parameter Administration
Availability
The available parameters and indicators depend on the types of the instances of the SAP CC system: Dispatcher, Guider, Rater, Updater, Bulkloader or Taxer. An overall map details all the parameters and indicators.Access and Change
All the indicators are read-only (RO) access and computed by the SAP CC Core Server system. They can never be configured.
The parameters are read/write (R/W) access. You can change their values with Admin+ or Config Tool. Some immediate and temporary changes are possible.
