New Variant Maintenance Wizard
Use
As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2 SP11, there is a new variant maintenance wizard for test data in addition to the conventional procedure for test data variant maintenance. This new wizard is displayed by default and leads you step by step through the variant maintenance process. The next section describes how to switch between the variant maintenance wizards.
Integration
The new variant maintenance wizard appears at the same place as the conventional wizard was used. To open the new wizard, select the Variants tab in the test configuration editor, and, as before, choose either the wizard icon or the option

If you want to reactivate the conventional wizard, choose Utilities Settings eCATT Extended Classic Wizard.
The assignment statistics for the test configuration are displayed on the initial screen. The following information is displayed:

Current test configuration and its description

Number of assigned test data containers

Total number of test configuration parameters and how many of these have been assigned to test data.

Total number of test configuration variants and how many of these have been assigned to test data containers.

Overview of assigned test data containers with name, description, how many variants the test data container contains, and how many of these are used in the test configuration.

To assign test data variants to a test configuration using the new variant maintenance wizard, you must perform the following steps:
