Deactivating a Resource

Use

If you need to take a break from performing tasks , you can use your presentation device to deactivate your resource , instead of logging off from the system.

Procedure

  1. Choose Brk . The Logoff screen appears.

  2. Choose List to view a list of reasons for deactivating the resource. You can scroll the list to view all reasons.

  3. Choose a reason.

  4. Choose Ent . The reason code and description appear in the Reason field.

  5. Choose DAct .

Result

The resource is deactivated. All of the resource elements stay assigned to the resource, but the resource is not able to receive tasks. All tasks assigned to the resource but not yet started are released and are available for processing by other resources. After returning, you can activate the resource by choosing Act. You are either returned to the Menu screen, or, if you were processing a task, are returned to the point from where you left.
