Translating Info Objects

Purpose

Create or change a translated language version of the selected content objects.

You can check out all or some of the content objects of a folder for translation.

Prerequisites

• The content objects to be translated were released by the authors and have the translation status New, To Be Translated or Translated in processing mode Translate.

• The content objects were not checked out changeably by another translator.

Process

1. Choose processing mode Translate.

2. Set the required context: the source language of the content objects to be translated, the target language, the enhancement and the release.

3. Select one or more folders in the initial screen or the content objects to be translated in the Info Object List.

4. Create a translation package.

5. Translate the translation package.

6. Reimport the translated package.

7. Release the info objects.

8. Transport the info objects in downstream SAP Knowledge Warehouse systems, if a multi-level landscape exists.
