Changing Contexts

Use

A set of context parameters in the SAP Knowledge Warehouse specifies the versions of info objects that you access for display and editing.

Integration

When you use a certain type of info object display (DynamicHelp), these context parameters, such as the enhancement release, are also effective in the display. They determine the info object version to be displayed at runtime.

Key Features

You can define the following context parameters for the version selection in the SAP Knowledge Warehouse:

  • language of the content objects

  • target language of the content objects (in processing mode Translate)

  • the country for which the information objects are valid

  • name and release of the enhancement (for example, for an industry solution) to which the documents refer.

Activities

To change the context, choose Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step Settings Next navigation step Change ContextEnd of the navigation path in the initial screen in SAP GUI.

The following options are presented in the dialog box Enter Context:

  • To go to a different processing mode, choose Processing Mode Change or Processing Mode Translate.

  • In Translate mode the target language is shown as well as the source language.

  • To set an enhancement context, choose Show Enhancement. To go back to the standard context, choose Hide Enhancement.

  • To show or hide the country, choose Show/Hide Country.
