Choosing a Role

Use

The role defines the area and processing mode (display, change, translate) in which you want to work in SAP Knowledge Warehouse.

Different functions are available, depending on your role.

For example, you can delete info objects in processing mode Change, but not in processing mode Translate. In processing mode Translate you can access info objects in the chosen source and target languages.

Prerequisites

You are logged onto the SAP System in which you want to change and translate info objects.

Procedure

In the user menu, choose the role in which you want to use the SAP Knowledge Warehouse.

Result

The initial screen with the functions available for the chosen role is displayed.

You can also directly use the transaction code for the initial screen. Here are some examples:
  • SII0: Change Management Area
  • SII1: Change Documentation Area
  • SII2: Change Training Area
  • SIIALL: Change All Areas
  • SIT1: Translate Documentation Area / Assignment of numbers for Area same as for Change
  • SITALL: Translate All Areas
