In the SAP standard system, industrial hygiene and safety measures are divided into the following categories:

You enter industrial hygiene and safety measures to document preventive or corrective actions that relate to a work area or persons that work in the work area, and monitor their successful completion. Industrial hygiene and safety measures are therefore an instrument used to actively improve the prevention of accidents and hazards.
You can enter industrial hygiene and safety measures for the following objects:

Each safety measure is categorized from a logical point of view by the safety measure category. The safety measure category also determines whether integration of safety measures in other SAP components is possible (see “Integration“ section).
