Status Editing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety Measures With this process you can use the appropriate status to specify and track which stage of processing a safety measure is currently in.
Assign the initial status.
When the safety measure is created, the system assigns the status
Task Outstanding.
This is the starting point for status processing.
Edit the status.
When you feel that all the necessary data has been entered for a safety measure that has the status
Task outstanding,
you can release the safety measure. The release is a formal release, that is the data can still be edited.
When editing of the safety measure is complete, you can set the status
Task Completed.
You can then no longer edit the safety measure, with the exception of the fields relevant for effectiveness checks.
Transfer to processing outside EH&S (for example, in Plant Maintenance).
You can also transfer safety measures with the status
Task Outstanding
or
Task Released,
for which the
integration in Plant Maintenance
process is supported, to processing outside EH&S (for example, in PM, CS, or QM) as tasks.
In response to the transfer, the system sets the status to
In Process Outside EH&S.
The safety measure can then only be displayed in
Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
The safety measure or task is then further processed outside EH&S where it passes through a separate status network.
Transfer back from processing outside EH&S.
When the task or safety measure is transferred back, the system changes the status from
In Process Outside EH&S
to:
Task Completed
if the task was completed outside EH&S. The safety measure can then no longer be edited with the exception of the fields for effectiveness checks.
Deleted Outside EH&S
if the task or corresponding
maintenance notificationwas deleted in processing outside EH&S. The safety measure can then no longer be edited with the exception of the fields for effectiveness checks.
Close the safety measure.
When you have completely finished processing the safety measure and made sure that it is effective, you can close the safety measure. It then has the status
Historical
(HI) and can no longer be edited.
Some statuses are assigned by the user and some by the system. The following table shows which status transitions are possible.

Statuses assigned by the user are marked with
X: User
and statuses assigned by the system are marked with
X: Sys.
The status of the safety measure is
Task Released.
From this status, a transition to the status
Task Completed
or
In Process Outside EH&S
is possible.
Note
The
Handling the Status Switch
Business Add-In (BAdI) is available in the IMG for
Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
The BAdI is called before the status switch and enables you to perform follow-on activities, such as checks.
