Ad insert number
Each ad insert has a number that is assigned by the system.
Ad inserts are numbered consecutively for all sales documents.

Caution
The ad insert number ranges and internal number ranges for the corresponding material types must not overlap if the media product ad insert and periodical ad insert are to be used in parallel. The same applies if you convert the media product ad insert during live processing.

They are assigned to ad insert items if advertising media are to be distributed with reference to a carrying publication.
Advertising media that are sent with reference to a carrying publication can be inserted, bound or tipped in.
Ad inserts for delta coverage are the exception here. In this situation, ad inserts are delivered to all subscribers with the carrying publication and all non-subscribers without this publication.
