Document ProcessingThis function incorporates a number of functions that replicate advertising sales in sales documents.
Document processing is found in the

Document items are to be created or changed in sales documents.
This can involve creating offer, order or credit memo items for ads, ad inserts, online advertising, distributions, commercials or services in sales documents and controlling the business processes involved accordingly.
An ad item is entered to describe the newspaper and column, publication date, color scheme, size and positioning of an ad. You may want to grant the customer a contract discount or a manual discount and assign commission to sales agents involved in this order. If you have entered a long-running ad, you may want to bill the services performed by your organization before the order has been fulfilled.
Document item data is entered by the user on the
Details
tab page at item level and can be displayed for each item on a tab or in the item overview at header and item level.
The item overview can be shown or hidden.
Item type-specific and cross-item type overviews can be selected using a tab page or dropdown list.
You have defined item overviews and selection options for item types in Customizing.
A number of functions that are identified as cross-item type or item type-specific are available to you in document processing for creating and changing document items.
Cross-item type functions include entering sold-to parties, advertisers, booking units, dates, complaints and cancellations or determining prices, sales agents and contracts.
Item type-specific functions include entering box numbers, planning ad inserts, banners, commercials and fixed spaces for ads or describing ad specs and ad inserts.
Various copying functions are available to you as possible entries in document processing. The copying function that you choose to accelerate entry of a document item is dependent on the type of business transaction to be replicated in a sales document.
