Standard AccessThis function is used to create, change or display sales documents.

and is used to access document processing.

You can also use central access and classified order entry to access document processing. The type of business transaction that you want to reproduce in the system determines which access you choose.

A sales document is to be created without reference to existing sales documents for a business partner. You want to create an ad insert order for a regular customer. You know the identification key for the sold-to party. |

An ad order, such as a classified ad is to be created for an occasional customer that was accepted by telephone. You do not normally know the identification key for the sold-to party. |
Central access |
A sales document is to be created with reference to the existing sales documents for a business partner. You want to create an ad for a major customer by copying an existing ad order. You do not normally know the identification key for the sold-to party. |
You do not want to create a sales document with reference to existing sales documents for a business partner. You want to create an order for a regular customer.
You have created the booking units in the product master data and have made all the relevant settings in Customizing:

Sales document creation
If you create a sales document in standard access, the initial screen for creating sales documents appears. You enter the following data on the initial screen:

You enter the address data for the sold-to party in the matchcode search . If you have not created the sold-to party in the media customer role in the business partner master data, you can create the sold-to party in this role

Sales document type |
Key that identifies the type of sales document that you want to create, for example an order or an offer. |
Organizational data |
Since sales are incorporated in the organizational structures for Sales and Distribution, you enter a sales organization, distribution channel and a division for each sales document. If the sales organization in your company is divided into additional organizational units, you can enter a sales office and a sales group for each sales document. |

You can use the user parameters to define the sales document type and the organizational data.
If you have entered the sold-to party identification key, the sales document type and the organizational data, the header detail screen in document processing appears. All the functions and fields that you require to create a document item are available to you in document processing.
Change sales documents
If you change a sales document in standard access, the initial screen for changing sales documents appears. You enter the identification key for the sales document on the initial screen.
If you do not know the identification key for the sales document that you want to change, you can identify this here. You enter the identification key for the sold-to party or the name of the user who created this in the matchcode search.
If you have entered the identification key for the sales document, the header detail screen in document processing appears. All the functions that you require to change a document item are available to you in document processing.
Editing functions
When you create or change a sales document, you can access an item detail or overview screen directly from the initial screen.
