Diagram Manager has several modes for you to work with.

Objects function differently, depending on the mode you are using to build the diagram.

Features

Diagram Manager has the following modes:

  • In Auto-Layout mode, the selected items are visible objects in the diagram whose individual properties you cannot modify. However, you can edit the default properties of all perspective and objective objects.

Use Auto-Layout mode to display any combination of mission and vision statements, perspectives and objectives by choosing a pre-defined goal diagram layout. This mode can be used separately or in combination with Design Manually mode. For information, see Auto-Layout Mode.

  • In Design Manually mode, the selected items are visible objects in the diagram whose individual and default properties you can modify.

Use Design Manually mode to display any combination of mission and vision statements, perspectives and objectives by creating your own layout. This mode can be used separately or in combination with Auto-Layout mode. For information, see Design Manually Mode

  • In Custom Image mode, the selected objects function as invisible hotspots that you overlay on the imported image file.

Use Custom Image mode to import an existing image into the Diagram Manager and assign contexts, mission and vision statements, perspectives and objectives, and URL links as invisible hotspots overlaying the image. Custom Image mode is the only method for assigning context-level and KPI links. This mode cannot be combined with Auto-Layout or Design Manually modes. For information, see Custom Image Mode.
