Deleting Proposals in the Proposal PoolLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You may need to delete proposals in the following situations:

  • You want to correct an incorrect translation in the proposal pool.

  • You need to make a terminology change.

  • You want to change the proposal type.

Note

After you have deleted the proposal, the status of translated lines changes to modified if the proposal pool no longer contains a proposal that matches the translation in the translation line.

Procedure

To delete a proposal in the proposal pool, proceed as follows:

  1. Call up the proposal you want to delete in the proposal pool. For more information on how to access the proposal pool, see Accessing the Proposal Pool.

  2. Choose the Delete Proposal icon to the left of the proposal.

    The Delete Proposal confirmation prompt appears.

  3. Choose Yes, or Yes, don't ask again, or No.

    Note

    If you choose Yes, don't ask again the confirmation prompt no longer appears for the entire time that you remain in transaction SE63 or SLPP.

Result

The system stops displaying the deleted proposal, and assigns quality status Z to it. You can display deleted proposals. They are displayed exactly where they used to exist and are flagged with a small trashcan icon. For more information, see Displaying Deleted Proposals.

If you call up the attributes for a proposal, the Last Changed By field shows you who deleted the proposal. For more information on how to display the attributes for a proposal, see Displaying Attributes for a Proposal.

If you try to create a deleted proposal again, the system automatically displays and highlights the deleted proposal.
