Accessing the Proposal Pool

Accessing from the Short Text Editor

After you have opened a short text object for translation, you can access the proposal pool as follows:

• To display or edit existing proposals for a source text, or to create a new proposal for a source text, choose the Branch to Proposal Pool icon in the status bar of the translation line.

  Alternatively, you can place the cursor in the translation line for the source text and choose  Proposal Pool  Branch to Proposal Pool .

• To display proposals for a source text in a different language, place the cursor in the translation line for the source text and choose Display Proposals for Source Text in Other Language or  Proposal Pool  Display Proposals in Other Language . Accessing with Transaction SLPP

1. On the initial screen of transaction SLPP, check that the default source and target languages are correct for the proposals you want to display or edit. These values are taken from your translation settings. For more information on these settings, refer to Transaction SE63 and read the section "Defining Your Translator Settings".

2. In the Source and/or Target group boxes, enter the source text or target text or both of the proposal pool entry in the Text field.

   Note

   You can perform generic text searches for the source text.

3. Choose Execute Search.
