Configuring Volumes 

In the Configuration user menu, you can find, among other things, functions to configure the volumes.

We recommend that you call the volume configuration using this function only for the purpose of making changes, as this call is very performance-intensive. If you only want to display the volumes, display the memory usage of the data area/log area, or display the configuration of the volumes.

Prerequisites

In accordance with the authorization concept, the user was assigned one of the roles SAP_BC_LVC_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_BC_LVC_SUPERUSER.

You are in the user menu of the user with the authorizations that correspond to this role.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the user menu, choose liveCache Assistant(transaction LC10).

       2.      Enter the name of the database connection.
You can select the name from the list of existing names. You can restrict the search for the required name.

       3.      Choose liveCache → Monitoring.

       4.      Choose Administration →Configuration →Volumes.

Result

The system displays the following liveCache properties:

·        liveCache Name

·        liveCache Server

·        liveCache State

You can perform the following actions for the selected liveCache database instance:

·        Configuring the Data Area

·        Configuring the Log Area
