Name of the Database Connection
The logical name of a liveCache database instance, that is, the name of the database connection of the liveCache database instance, is a property of the liveCache database instance.
The name of the database connection is normally created during the installation of the liveCache database instance.

You can assign a
new name to a database connection (for example, for the creation of a test
liveCache database instance).

You can predefine the name of the database connection with a default value for the initial screen of the CCMS transactions of the liveCache Assistant. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. In the user menu, choose liveCache Assistant(transaction LC10).
2. Choose System → User Data → Own Data.
3. Select Parameters.
4.
Enter the following
information:
Parameter DBCON_NAME, Value
<Name_of_the_database_connection>
5. Save your user data.
This name appears when you start the liveCache Assistant for the first time. If you call the liveCache Assistant again in a database session, the name of the last used database connection is always displayed.
