Configuring the Data Area
In the Configure Volumes user menu, you can, among other things, configure the data area.
If the data area no longer has sufficient storage space, you can add another data volume. The system adjusts all dependent parameters during the change.

When a user executes a particular configuration function, this function is locked for all other users.
In accordance with the authorization concept, the user was assigned one of the roles SAP_BC_LVC_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_BC_LVC_SUPERUSER. You are in the user menu of the user with the authorizations that correspond to this role.

After you have confirmed your entries again, the new data volume is created.
The new file is created with the specified size. This can take some time, since the new volume is formatted (this does not apply if the volume is created on a UNIX raw device).
