Creating an Object 
You use the object creation wizards available in the portal to create portal objects.
Some object types can only be created from an existing source object, while others can be created from scratch without a pre-existing object. The type of source object required depends on the object type.

As an alternative, you can quickly generate additional instances of existing objects without using the object creation wizards. For more information, see the following:
To view a portal component or template in an object creation wizard, you must have access permissions to the component or template. See Permission Levels.
To launch an object wizard, you right-click the Portal Catalog folder in which you want to create the object and then choose the relevant item from the context menu.
