 Qualification/Qualification Block Assignment

Use

You can use the Structures Workbench to assign objects of type qualification (object type Q) or qualification block (object type QB) to jobs, positions, and persons to describe the qualification profile or requirement profile . Also see Qualifications/Requirements .

Prerequisites

You have made the following settings in Customizing:

  • You have used the MAINT_Q_ON_* switch (under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces& Public Security Next navigation step Personnel Next navigation step Settings for Qualifications) to set the value End of the navigation path X to specify that assignments for qualifications can be made in the Structures Workbench .

  • You have not set the No Maintenance indicator for the required relationships ( Start of the navigation path Personnel Management Next navigation step Organizational Management Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Data Model Enhancement Next navigation step Relationship Maintenance Next navigation step Maintain Relationships End of the navigation path in the Allowed Relationships section) or for object types C, S, and/or P ( Start of the navigation path Infotype Maintenance Next navigation step Maintain Infotypes Next navigation step Infotypes per Object Type End of the navigation path ).

You are familiar with the processing of relationships .

Features

You make the assignment on the Personnel Categories tab page of the object to which you want to assign the qualifications or qualification blocks. Note the following special features:

  • The assignments are activated through the Authorized Personnel area/measure area .

    Caution Caution

    Assignments to jobs cannot be activated; they keep the status Planned . However, the job index and job descriptions usually cannot be processed in the Structures Workbench for production system landscapes. This must be performed using the Organizational Management applications.

    You can only make assignments to jobs if you work without organizational measures.

  • Direct assignments between persons and qualification blocks are not possible. If a qualification that is assigned to a qualification block is assigned to a person, this is displayed for the person automatically .

  • If you want to assign multiple qualifications at once, you can specify characteristics only if these qualifications have the same scaling . If this is not the case, you have to assign the qualifications individually.
