Editing Relationships You define assignments between force elements, positions, persons, tasks, and similar objects that are technically realized using relationships. The following processing functions are available:
You can
create
new relationships. New relationships have the status
Planned
.
You can
delete
existing relationships that have
Planned
status
without
an approval process. The corresponding infotype record is deleted.
You can perform the following functions for existing relationships in
Active
status:
You can
delimit
these relationships
without
an approval process. Your changes are saved in
Active
status.
You can delimit or delete specific relationships with an approval process. For more information, see Delimitation/Deletion with Status Change .
Note
You can delete delimitation and deletion procedures in
Planned
status.
Additional functions exist for relationships that are stored using the FORCER framework.
You have familiarized yourself with system behavior in respect of time zones .
You are in the
Structures Workbench
(edit mode).
You may have to select an organizational measure before you can process assignments.
In the structure area or selection area, select the object to which you want to assign another object.
In the detail area, select the required tab page.
To select the relationship direction that you want to create, choose

Select the required object.
Save your changes.
Select the required tab page.
Select the object whose relationship you want to delete or delimit.
Choose the required function.
Delimit Relationship
(delimit without approval process)
Delete Relationship

If you want to delimit a relationship, you have to enter a delimitation date.
Save your changes.
Select the required tab page.
Select the required deletion or delimitation process in
Planned
status.
Choose
Save your changes.
You can change the command and control relationships between force elements by first delimiting the validity period of or deleting the current relationship, as described above, and then creating a new relationship.
Alternatively, you can make this change in the structure area of the
Structures Workbench
, using drag and drop. Use the mouse pointer to drag the relevant force element to the new higher-level force element. Save your changes.
Caution
Note that the force elements whose assignments you change might be included in several structures. If you want your changes to take effect in several structures, you have to make each change individually for each required structure.
