 Command and Control Support (Infotype 1959)

Definition

The assignment of mobile devices to a position.

Use

If you use the mobile applications provided separately with SAP Mobile Defense & Security , you can use this assignment to ensure that, regardless of the current position holder (current user), the data required for this position is always available on a mobile device. When a status is changed, the system can check the existence of a valid assignment and trigger a workflow as a follow-up action .

Structure

The following fields/field groups are available in the Structures Workbench on the Command and Control Support tab page:

  • Installation ID

    The assigned installation ID

    You can assign an installation ID to the position by selecting an existing installation ID or creating a new ID with the Generate pushbutton.

    Note Note

    You can also make this assignment automatically for all positions of a force element or structure with the application Initial Assignment of Installation IDs (Report /ISDFPS/ME_CA_INIT_INST_ID).

  • Assigned Force Elements

    • Object ID/Name

      Force elements for which data (including dependent objects) is to be kept on the mobile device for displaying and editing.

    • Structure Operation

      Specifies whether the data for all lower-level force elements is also to be kept on the device.

  • Data Category Status

    • Data Category

      Data categories (defined in Customizing) that represent data areas related from a business perspective.

      In Customizing, you define data categories by choosing Start of the navigation path Defense Forces & Public Security Next navigation step Mobile Applications Next navigation step General Settings Next navigation step Define Data Categories End of the navigation path .

    • Assignment Status

      Specifies whether the installation ID assigned to the position is assigned to the respective data area. The following assignment statuses are possible:

      • No assignment (red icon)

        The data category is not assigned to this installation ID.

      • Assignment Using a Different Position (yellow icon)

        The data category is assigned to this installation ID through a different position.

      • Assignment Using this Position (green icon)

        The data category is assigned to this installation ID through this position.

The data for command and control support is stored in infotype 1959 (component specific).
