SAP supports your data management by providing suitable Data Archiving (CA-ARC) functions as well as SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management (BC-ILM) functions in the Portfolio Management applications.

To archive a particular object of your object hierarchy, you must have previously archived all its subordinated objects.

You can use the Business Add-In Archiving of Additional Data for PPM Objects (ARC_PPM_OBJECTS) to integrate additional (customer-specific) tables into the scope of an archiving object. Note Note

The system prevents the deletion of a portfolio, bucket, initiative, collection, or review, if the object is linked to an archived object or if the system is not able to assess the status (archived or not archived) of a linked object.

You can use the Business Add-In /RPM/EX_CONSISTENCY_CHECK_BADI to deactivate this prevention mechanism, so that you are able to delete an object despite to the check result.
