Archiving Collections with RPM_COLL
The system uses the archiving object SAP Portfolio and Project Management Collection
(RPM_COLL
) to archive collection data. In particular, this archiving object archives the following data:

Note
To display a complete overview of the relevant database tables, choose DB Tables
in the Archive Administration
application (transaction SARA).
Since collections do not have a status, the system selects collections irrespective of status information.
Note
To archive a particular object, you must have previously archived all its subordinated objects (items) using the respective archiving object.
To support the following Information Lifecycle Management
(ILM) functions, this archiving object is assigned to ILM object RPM_COLL
:
Snapshot
In a snapshot session the system selects all objects irrespective of the status.
Data Destruction
In a data destruction session the system selects objects with the status To be archived
.
You are familiar with the functions for Data Archiving
and Information Lifecycle Management

To use the Information Lifecycle Management
functions, you have to fulfill the following prerequisites:
You are familiar with the functions for ILM policies and rules and have defined the retention rules for the archiving object.
You have activated the relevant Information Lifecycle Management
functions.
Otherwise only the Data Archiving
functions are available.

In the Archive Administration
application (transaction SARA
), choose Database Tables
to show the tables from which the data of this archiving object is to be deleted.
