Initiative Template Creation or Change
With this function you can create an initiative template or enter, change, or delete data in an existing initiative template.
The initiative template details are organized in views and subviews. You can determine which fields are available in the views and subviews in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management
under .
Below the object header you can find the following views and subviews. For more information about the views and subviews, see Initiative Details.
You can display or change information about the initiative template in the following subviews:
General Information
Depending on your Customizing settings, the ID of the initiative template is generated using the SAP number assignment functionality or a customer-defined processing logic, or a character key (Universal Unique Identifier) is generated on saving. The generated ID can be overwritten manually.

Here you can find the phases and decision points to the initiative. For more information, see Dashboard of Phases and Decisions and Decision Point Details.
You can add notes to the initiative or display existing notes. For more information, see Notes.
Responsible
Under Responsible
, you can define persons responsible for initiatives by staffing roles. For more information, see Role Staffing for
Persons Responsible.
Authorizations
Here you can add or remove users and update their authorizations. For more information, see Authorizations in Portfolio Management.
You navigate to this view by choosing . You select the Initiative Templates
radio button.
In the dashboard for Initiative Templates
, you choose Create
.
On the Create Initiative Template
screen, you select a bucket and an initiative type.
Then you choose Start
.
In the top part of the next screen, the system displays the object header of the initiative template. For more information, see Object Header.
To display or change an existing initiative template, select an initiative template displayed in the list to navigate to the Initiative Template Details
screen.
