You can enter object-specific notes to the following objects:

  • Portfolio

  • Portfolio item

  • Initiative

  • Bucket

  • Review

  • Collection

  • What-If

  • Resource

Prerequisites

  • To log the user who created the note in the note log, you must have done the following:

    1. You have created a business partner (BP) by choosing the transaction BP in the connected back-end system.

    2. In the back-end system, you have maintained the name that is to be visible in a note.

    3. In the Employee BP role of this BP, on the Identification tab page, in the Employee Data area, you have assigned the corresponding system user the User Name field. If a BP already exists, you only have to assign the system user.

  • To use the notes language-independently, you must have set the General Default Values to Notes Language Independent in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management under Start of the navigation path Portfolio Management Next navigation step Global Customizing Next navigation step Global Settings Next navigation step Check Global Settings End of the navigation path. Then select 0007 General Default Values and choose Default Settings (SAP). Then enter X in the row 0017 Notes Language Independent.

Features

In the notes log, you can display the name of the user who created the note. You can use the notes language-independently.
