Object Header
In the top part of the screen, the system displays the object header of the object (such as item or initiative) containing the key information of the object.
If you want to use network activities, assign multiple subobjects to an object, or navigate via the portfolio hierarchy, you have switched on the switch in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management
under .
If you want the status icon of decision points to be displayed in the process steps of the item and initiative header, you have activated the user interface setting 0023 Display Decision Point Status Icon on Item/Initiative Header
in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management
under .
The object header contains the following sections:
The portfolio hierarchy is displayed for the item, item template, initiative, initiative template, and bucket, and displays the portfolio and bucket hierarchy in which the object is located. To navigate to the respective portfolio or bucket, you can click the respective object link.
The object header displays key information for the object, such as ID, type, and description.
For initiatives, initiative templates, items, and item templates, you can configure additional information for display in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management
by choosing .
For initiatives, initiative templates, items, item templates, and decision points, the object header also displays the steps of the process, such as an overview of the decision points, phases, or WBS elements or network activities the object is assigned to.
Note
Depending on what project type you have assigned, you can assign a phase, WBS element, or network activity as subobject.
If you have assigned multiple subobjects to a decision point, you can open a selection list by clicking the arrow to display the assigned subobjects. The list contains all subobjects linked to the decision point. By clicking on the name, you can navigate to the selected object.
Icons indicate which decision points, phases, WBS elements or network activities are completed. If you have made the corresponding Customizing settings, the exact status of decision points is indicated by the corresponding status icon (see Prerequisites).
You can navigate directly to a decision point, phase, WBS element or network activity overview by choosing the corresponding decision point, phase, WBS element or network activity in the object header.
