Function documentation Folder Content Display Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can use predefined layout profiles to set the way in which the content folders is depicted.

Integration

As well as KM layout profiles there are layout profile that are defined by other SAP NetWeaver™ components or by applications. These layout profiles are for depicting items that the various components or applications store in CM.

For example, a layout profile can display component-specific information that is stored in the properties of particular items. Component-specific symbols can also be displayed.

Example

You can use the Broadcasting layout profile to display items from SAP Business Information Warehouse that you have published in a KM folder using the BEx Broadcaster. This layout profile is preset by default in the BEx Portfolio and in My Portfolio.

It provides access to standard KM functions such as subscriptions, send to, ratings, and personal notes. It also displays BW-specific information such as the date when the calculation took place for pre-calculated BW reports. BW-specific symbols display the relevant item type.

For more information, see Structure linkDisplaying Folder Content with the Broadcasting Layout Profile.

Prerequisites

To personalize the depiction of folder content, you only need read permission for the folder.

To set a default depiction for all users, you need the service permission Layout.
