Folder Content Display

You can use the Broadcasting layout profile to display items from SAP Business Information Warehouse that you have published in a KM folder using the BEx Broadcaster. This layout profile is preset by default in the BEx Portfolio and in My Portfolio.
It provides access to standard KM functions such as subscriptions, send to, ratings, and personal notes. It also displays BW-specific information such as the date when the calculation took place for pre-calculated BW reports. BW-specific symbols display the relevant item type.
For more
information, see
Displaying Folder
Content with the Broadcasting Layout Profile.
Layout profiles are predefined in the configuration and define the appearance of the user interface for navigation in folders. You can select a layout profile and apply it to a folder in the Details dialog box for the folder in question.

For example, you can select a layout profile with an overview tree that simplifies the navigation in folders.
You can make additional settings on tab pages for some layout profiles. Depending on the selected layout profile, different tab pages are displayed. Some examples:
● Sort property
● Number of rows
● Columns to be displayed
You can apply the selected layout profile and settings to a single folder or to a folder and all its subordinate folders in the sub-tree.
By default, the selected layout profile and settings are only applied to the current iView. In other iViews, the same folder might be displayed differently.
If you want to apply the layout profile and settings to other iViews too, choose Use these Settings Independently of iView.
If you have Layout service permission, you can also use the following functions:
● You can set how the contents of folders are displayed for all users.
All users can control these settings.
● Alternatively to the layout profiles, you can select layout sets.
To define the display of a folder, choose Settings ® Presentation in the Details dialog box of the folder.
