Getting Started
With the portal content modeling tools, you can create a collection of portal content objects that make up the structure of an application. You can also reuse existing application components, created with Visual Composer or other tools, such as Web Dynpro, and embed them in this structure.
The portal content modeling tools are targeted at non-programmer users, such as business process experts or content developers, who have the following skills:
Expertise in the relevant business domain
Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Portal and its content administration
Familiarity with Visual Composer
The tools significantly improve user experience in the following areas:
Convenience, ease of use and speed compared to the existing portal administration tools
End-to-end implementation and deployment in a single environment
Reuse of existing portal content objects and applications
Packaging and deployment
Lifecycle management, including source control
