Deleting Assignments of Collections to TranslatorsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

If translation priorities change, you may need to remove collections from a translator's assignment.

If a translator leaves the project for good, however, you can simply delete the translator and the collection assignments are automatically deleted. For more information, see Maintaining Translators .

Prerequisites

Your translator profile includes authorization object USCO with the value 02 . To assign collections that are not assigned to you, you also need authorization object COSE with value 01 .

Procedure

The procedures for deleting collection assignments:

Delete assignments of collections to one translator

(all coordinators)

  1. Call transaction LXE_MASTER and choose Assignments on the Translators tab page.

    The Translators (Language, Translator) dialog box appears.

  2. Expand the target language of the translator whose collection assignment you want to modify and double-click the user name of the translator in question.

    The Translators dialog box appears. The collections currently assigned to the translator are displayed.

  3. Select the collections that you want to remove from this translator's collection assignment and choose Delete

Delete assignments of collections to multiple translators

(coordinators for one or multiple specific target languages)

  1. Call transaction LXE_MASTER and choose Delete Assignments on the Translators tab page.

    The Target Language dialog box appears.

  2. Double-click the target language of the translators whose collection assignments you want to modify.

    The Collections dialog box appears.

  3. Select the collections whose assignments to translators you want to delete and choose Continue .

    The Translators (Language, Translator) dialog box appears.

  4. Double-click the translators from whose assignments these collections should be removed and choose Execute.

    A dialog box informs you of how many translators and target languages are affected by this assignment deletion.

  5. Choose Delete .

Delete assignments of collections to multiple translators

(coordinators created for all target languages)

  1. Call transaction LXE_MASTER and choose Delete Assignments on the Translators tab page.

    The Collections dialog box appears.

  2. Select the collections whose assignments to translators you want to delete and choose Continue .

    The Translators dialog box appears.

  3. Select the translators from whose assignments these collections should be removed and choose Save.

  4. Save.

    A dialog box informs you of how many translators and target languages are affected by this assignment deletion.

  5. Choose Delete .

Delete assignments of obsolete collections to translators

  1. Call transaction LXE_MASTER and choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Delete Assignments of Deleted Collectns Next navigation step By Translators End of the navigation path

  2. The Delete Collection Assignments screen appears listing all translators who are assigned deleted collections. Select the translators whose obsolete collection assignments you want to delete and choose Execute

  3. The obsolete collections are deleted from the assignments to the translators you selected.
Result

The collections you selected are no longer assigned to the translator(s) that you selected any longer. The translator(s) can no longer display statistics for, or call up a worklist for object belonging to, the collections that you deleted from their assignment.

  • If these collections are still relevant for translation, you need to assign them to other translators .

  • If these collections are no longer relevant for translation, consider locking them and running an evaluation with deletion to remove the objects belonging to these collections from the statistics and worklists.
