Creating Web Content
The superordinate term Web content is used to describe content that you display on Web pages, such as articles, link lists, and images.
You create Web content in the following ways:
You can upload images and HTML files that you created on your local PC.
You can create articles, link lists, and other item types online using forms.
Before creating or uploading Web content, decide on the storage location: do you want to use your Web content on a single Web page, or on several Web pages in an area, or on several Web pages in several areas?
If you want to use Web content (for example, an article) on a single Web page, you create that content within the Web page itself.
You cannot reuse this Web content on other Web pages and you can use it only once within the same page.
If you want to use Web content (for example, a banner) on more than one page, you have to store that content in a KM shared content folder, such as the Global Shared Content folder or a Shared Content folder of an area.
Depending on how you want to use the respective Web content, you can upload images and HTML files directly to a page, or store them in a KM shared content folder. For more information, see: Uploading Content
Depending on how you want to use the respective Web content, you can create or edit the following item types directly within a page, or in a KM shared content folder (for example, the Global Shared Content folder).

You can preview the newly created Web content. If your administrator has defined multiple layouts for the Web content type in question, you can display a preview for each of them.
To display a preview of the Web content, in the Web content editor, choose Preview.
The system displays the preview in the same browser window
To return to the editor, choose Back to Editor.
