Live Rates
You use live rates to plan, calculate, and post budget amounts in funds management for trade promotion activities. Companies use this method to accurately plan their budgets for trade promotion spending.
Live rates is integrated with the following areas:
Funds Management
The system posts budget updates calculated from live rates planning to funds management in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM). These updates are reflected in the funds checkbook. For more information, see Funds Management.
Territory Management
You use territory management to define employee responsibilities for combinations of account hierarchy node and product category in the live rates planning process. You use rules in territory management to assign the required rule attributes to the live rates territory. You assign positions to the territory to identify the responsible employees. Business Planning and Simulation (BW-BPS)

Responsibility assignment
Associate the employee responsible with account hierarchy nodes, products categories, or sales categories using territory management. For more information, see Responsibility Assignment Using Live Rates Territories.
Fund determination
Identify the funds to post calculated budget amounts to and create the combinations of account hierarchy node and product category or product used for detailed planning selection. For more information, see Live Rates Fund Determination.
Key figure planning
Plan live rates for combinations of account hierarchy node and product category or product in live rates planning elements for a fiscal period.

Pertinent Master Data Changes
