For various reasons, you may make changes to your master data during the live rates planning process. Depending on the type of change you make to the master data, you must follow a specific procedure to ensure that the planning combinations reflect your master data changes.

Prerequisites

You have activated the business function Claims and Funds Management (CRM_CF_1).

You have completed the activities in Customizing under Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step Trade Promotion Management Next navigation step Live Rates End of the navigation path.

Activities

Product Changes

You may make changes to products. You use the report Live Rates Pertinent Master Data Changes (RCRM_FM_LRTP_PMDC) to update the planning combinations of account hierarchy node and product category or product.

When you make changes to a product, you must perform the following steps:

  1. Download changes to the product hierarchy from SAP ERP to SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM).

  2. Extract products, product categories, products, and product texts to SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW).

  3. Run the report Live Rates Pertinent Master Data Changes (RCRM_FM_LRTP_PMDC) for the live rates plan successfully.

    Caution Caution

    Ensure that you run this report before you update the territory relationships. Otherwise, you must close your live rates plan and create a new one.

    End of the caution.
  4. Update the relationships of the live rates territories by running the report Update Territory Relationships (CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL) in Initial mode.

Account and Territory Changes

You may make changes to the account hierarchy nodes and territories used with live rates. Depending on the type of change you make, there are different procedures to follow. Note that this is not an exhaustive list of the possible changes you can make.

Mandatory Steps

When you make changes to the account hierarchy, you must always do the following:

  1. Download changes to the account hierarchy from SAP ERP to SAP CRM.

  2. Extract account hierarchies, account hierarchy nodes, accounts, and account texts to SAP NetWeaver BW.

Account Hierarchy Node Changes

In addition to the mandatory steps mentioned above, you must also do the following for your live rates plans or live rates planning elements:

  • If you add an account hierarchy node that falls below the account hierarchy node defined in the live rates territory, do the following:

    1. Close the corresponding live rates planning element.

    2. Run the report Update Territory Relationships (CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL) in territory management.

    3. Run the report Live Rates Planning Element Creation (RCRM_FM_LRTP_CREATE_ELM) to create a new live rates planning element based on the territory that this new account hierarchy node belongs to.

  • If you add a new branch to the account hierarchy that has account hierarchy nodes that correspond to the From Level, Mid Level, and To Level planning levels, do the following:

    1. Create a new live rates territory.

    2. Run the report Update Territory Relationships (CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL) in territory management.

    3. Run the report Live Rates Planning Element Creation (RCRM_FM_LRTP_CREATE_ELM) to create new live rates planning elements.

  • If you delete an account hierarchy node that falls below the account hierarchy node defined in the live rates territory, you can do one of the following:

    1. Close the corresponding live rates planning elements, run the report Update Territory Relationships (CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL) in territory management, then run the report Live Rates Planning Element Creation (RCRM_FM_LRTP_CREATE_ELM) to create new live rates planning elements.

    2. Set the amounts to zero in the live rates planning elements that relate to the deleted account hierarchy node.

  • If you remove a branch from the account hierarchy that has account hierarchy nodes that correspond to the From Level, Mid Level and To Level planning levels defined in Customizing, close the related live rates planning elements.

Territory Changes

If you decide that a live rates territory is no longer valid or change the rule attributes in the live rates territory, close the corresponding live rates planning element.

Changes to Combinations for Detailed Planning Selection

Once you have completed all your master data changes, you must run the report Live Rates Fund Determination (RCRM_FM_LRTP_FUND_DETERMINE) to update the combinations of account hierarchy node and product category used for the detailed planning selection.
