Assignment of Variant Condition
Keys
You can use the modeling environment for Variant Configuration to assign variant condition keys to the characteristic values of a configurable material to make pricing conditions dependent on the value assigned to the relevant material.
As well as assigning them to characteristic values directly, you can integrate variant condition keys in the creation of object dependencies.
The values of numeric characteristics do not allow you to assign variant condition keys.
Use the Environment folder in the worklist to create a variant condition key or load existing keys to the modeling environment. For more information, see Variant Condition Key.
In addition to the general prerequisites for using variant conditions and variant condition keys, see also Variant Conditions in Sales and Distribution and Assigning Variant Conditions Correctly.
