Variant Condition Keys
You can use the modeling environment for Variant Configuration to create, edit, and manage variant condition keys.
You can use a variant condition key to reference a variant condition. During the interactive configuration process, the system uses this key to interrogate the relevant condition when the user chooses the characteristic value to which you have assigned the key. Make sure that the reference is consistent because the system does not check whether the key actually corresponds to a condition.
To assign variant condition keys to characteristic values, open the detailed view of the material in question. If you want to use variant condition keys to create a dependency, you can use the Dependency Editor.
The Environment folder for variant condition keys in the worklist shows the condition keys used in the model. You can also create new variant condition keys or load existing ones into the modeling environment.
Add condition keys that have not yet been used in the model to your Favorites list so that they are available again the next time you load the model.
