Function documentation List Price Determination in the Web Catalog Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can determine prices and pricing scales that are to apply to entire customer groups, directly out of condition tables. This function applies to replication onto the index server, as well as to the XML Export of the product catalog. See InitialReplication of Product Catalog Contents and Profile Creation for an XML Export.

The advantage of price determination for list prices as opposed to customer-specific price determination is its faster performance in the Web catalog. Catalog replication is however slowed down.

Prerequisites

You have selected the use of list price determination in the Web shop. You determine this on the Catalog tab page, in the Shop Management application.

Features

Price determination for list prices takes place during initial replication. All planned changes are activated when delta replication takes place.

Recommendation

We recommend that you plan the change replication at least once a day using the report COM_PCAT_IMS_FEED_UPDA.

Activities

In the product catalog variant, define the Condition type and Condition table in Parameters for list prices. To do this, the corresponding variant must be selected by double clicking on it. List prices are determined for each product from the condition table during replication.

Note

Set the same currency and unit of measure for conditions, as they are to appear in the Web shop and during the XML export of the product catalog. Conversion into the variant currency does not place. Conversion only takes place when the IPC is used.

You can only enter condition types and condition tables in the catalog variant that contain the product or product group as a partial key.

You can create as many combinations of condition types and condition tables in the product catalog as you wish, and make individual adjustments to the standard templates, but only catalog price type ‘A’ (list price) is shown in the Web shop as standard. Only one data record (per variant) can exist for this price type.
