Use

You can issue output for documents, for example, order confirmations, quotations, opportunity plans, directly from transaction processing manually.

For this you can use the output media in CRM, print, fax and email.

Prerequisites

You have created an action profile with an action definition for issuing output under Define Action Profile in Customizing for output determination. You have made the following settings in the action definition:

You can combine processing types print, fax and mail and define an access sequence under Define Conditions for Output. There is further information under Conditions for Output.

Printer settings are maintained for output in print in Customizing for output determination under Define Conditions for Output in the Action and Processing group frame.

Necessary data are maintained in the output recipients master record (for example, the sold-to party). For example:

Procedure

  1. Create a transaction.
  2. Select the Actions tab page.
  3. The actions scheduled for the document are displayed in an action list. Actions not yet processed have the status This graphic is explained in the accompanying text "yellow" – unprocessed.

  4. Select the action required, for example, order confirmation and select This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Execute Action.

Using This graphic is explained in the accompanying text you can display a preview before execution.

Result

The action is executed according to the settings in Customizing.

The status of the action changes to

You can execute the action again by selecting This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Repeat action.

If you have defined "max. 1 unprocessed action per action definition" in the action profile, then the same action is placed in the list with the status unprocessed after execution.
