Use

You can change an employee to assign him or her a logon name and password for the Mobile Client and then you can assign one or more Sites. Lock and unlock employees for the mobile application.

Note

Use the Loading User Data and Sites function to transfer data for users and sites for the first time from the ASCII files provided.

If you have already assigned a logon name and password to an employee, you can change these. You can remove sites already assigned and you can add new sites.

Prerequisites

You must have selected the object type employees in the Object type selection list.

Procedure

Proceed as follows:

       1.      To change an employee, select him or her in the navigation window.

In the area Object information the first and second name of the selected employee are displayed. If a user name has already been assigned, this is also displayed.

       2.      Choose the Object ® Display <-> Change function from the application menu, or the corresponding symbol from the application toolbar.

The user name of the employee can now be assigned for the first time or changed if it already exists.

       3.      Lock or unlock the employee.

The lock is activated when the employee called ConnTrans and received the lock flag. Now, the employee cannot start the application. Unlock the employee and the employee is able to start ConnTrans.

       4.      Choose the Sites tab page in the Dependent information subarea and then the symbol This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Assign), if you want to assign one or more sites to the organization. A dialog box containing a table of all the sites not yet assigned is displayed.

       5.      Select the site(s) that you want in the dialog box that is displayed. To do this select either individual sites (by clicking the corresponding buttons in the first column on the left) or all sites (via the symbol ) and choose Copy. The selected sites are now displayed in the Sites tab page. Press Cancel if you do not want to select any sites.

       6.      If you want to cancel the assignment of already selected sites, select the respective site(s) in the Sites tab page by clicking the corresponding button in the first column on the left (or all subscriptions via This graphic is explained in the accompanying text)and choosing the Deassign This graphic is explained in the accompanying text symbol. The sites selected in this way are then removed from the tab page with the assigned sites.

       7.      To save your changes choose the Object  ®  Save function or the corresponding symbol in the application toolbar.

Note

If you receive the following error message when you save, you can find the corresponding information in the long text of the error message as well as in the COM4ABAP.pdf file in the installation directory of COM4ABAP (by default: ..\Program Files\SAP\RFCSDK\COM4ABAP) on the communication station.

You cannot assign subscriptions and organizations to employees. The subscriptions and/or organizations assigned to an allocated site can however be displayed via the Subscriptions or Organizations tab page (this display is however updated only when the employee is next called up).
